"Prayer
of Prosperity"
Spoken
Word (0:22)
Rev.
Mark Rohrbaugh of Morningside Church delivered the following prayer introducing a musical selection at the church's Jazz Vespers.
"Blue Bossa," a lively jazz standard was performed by The John Scott Trio. John
brings zest to all of our musical celebrations. For this song and on the matter of prosperity, Rev. Rohrbaugh prays...
…do not wear yourself out to get rich.
We wait upon the Lord. He is our help and our shield.
In him, our hearts rejoice.
For we trust in his holy name.
May your unfailing love rest upon us, oh Lord,
even as we put our hope in you.
The
instruction is to trust and praise God. Our welfare, in all aspects, is covered by those actions. --Cheryl Farrell
"Blue Bossa" was composed by Kenny Dorham. (1924 -1972)
