"They Are Us"  [Contemporary Folk Song]   The featured song derives from theatrical performances that benefit The Greater Contribution. (TGC)   The California-based charity provides micro loans to the world's poorest entrepreneurs, enabling them to create jobs with sustainable incomes and provide for their families. With regular meals, shelter, health care, and education, they break the destructive cycle of poverty.   I participate in TGC fundraising events by re-enacting the true story of an impoverished woman in Kamanga, Tanzania. I speak about her struggles to overcome poverty and how micro loans help her family.   Inspired by the generosity of TGC donors, I wrote and recorded "They Are Us."
